Prohibited Activities at Public Parks

Certain activities are prohibited at public parks in Malaysia. The above is a signage at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens. Here's the translation from top row to bottom, left to right:

The following are prohibited:
  1. Plucking flowers and damaging trees
  2. Littering
  3. Public displays of affection, e.g. kissing, embrace, etc.
  4. Vandalsim
  5. Pets
  6. Illegal hawkers and street vendors
  7. Driving in without permission
  8. Building of tents and structures
  9. Fishing at the lake

This is my entry for That's My World Tuesday Season 2 Episode 28. To view what others have in their world, please visit here.

  1. Our parks have long lists of "don'ts", too. PDA is never on them, though!

  5. Definitely interesting. If they tried to prohibit kissing or pets in our public parks, they'd be thrown out of office within a few weeks, and that would probably be shocking to Malaysians. It's always fascinating to see different cultures.

  6. Singapore is a fine city. Malaysia is a forbidden nation.

  7. Makes you wonder what you are allowed to do. We have many of the same kind of signs here.
    Thanks for sharing.
