City Daily Photo Theme Day Dec 2010 - Time

Here's a Team of Teddy Bears who are sharing our home. If by chance they can come alive, perhaps by magic, I am sure that they will Twist and Twirl and dance with joy to the Tunes of Telly Toons. Maybe you can recognise some of them, e.g. a few are from the McDonald's version of Ty's famous Teeny Beanie Babies and some are Alphabet Teddies. Theres a pair from Santa's household. Some are presents, some are from Happy Meals. The tiny brown bear holding a red heart is made of procelain. The big brown one is the most Treasured because it is a prize winning from a Throwing Games stall at Genting Highlands Theme Park. The white fluffy fella is a gift from someone special. My son nickname it Fluffy Bear and I call it Bulu-bulu Bear (meaning lots of hair). But of course my daughter has her own special name for it, afterall it is hers!

Today is City Daily Photo's Theme Day for December 2010. The theme is TIME.

Time, the cradle of hope....
Wisdom walks before it, opportunity with it, and repentance behind it:
he that has made it his friend will have little to fear from his enemies,
but he that has made it his enemy will have little to hope from his friends.
 ~Charles Caleb Colton

Today is also ABC Wednesday and the word is T!

T is for
..... TIME and my Treasures,
my Today's Team of Terrific Teddy Toys!

As I Think back Through Time, I realise that Teddy bears are now very much a part of our lives. From the time we were little until we reach adulthood, Teddy bears and Toys are great companions and they help to brighten up our lives. They are our shoulder to lean on, our pillow to cry on and our punching bag during our Turbulent Times of anger when we want to Throw Tantrums. Perhaps they also listen to our secrets. They may be a calm and constant companion to a frightened child during Terrifying nights of Thunderstorms and lightning flashes. Just like ice-cream, give a Teddy Bear to a child and you can see a smile light up.

Do you have a special Teddy Bear among your collection of treasures?

ABC Wednesday, Round 7 hosted by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt and the ABC Team of Denise, Roger, Jay, Troy, Barb, Gattina, Sylvia, Annelie, Linda and Helen. To participate and view what others have in mind, please log on to this site.

  6. the great tthing about having kids is that you can maintain the notion that the teddy bears are theirs, instead of yours

  10. Tumblewords, yeah, Teddy Bears are sweet and cuddly.

Small kucing. Most likely my Christmas bears are from the same gang as yours.

Sylvia, thank you for dropping by every now and then with your words of encouragement.

Wanda, you are right. T frequently reminds me of Teddy, be it the bear, song of person.

M.Kate, I'd be delighted to have tea with you one of these days. Oh yeah, JJ is having a J-Card member day on 1st and 2nd Dec 2010. Perhaps we'll bump into each other!

Roger, you are right. My kids like their teddy bears, leaving the extras from McD for me.

Ann, I never had a teddy too. I played with paper dolls and dresses which I cut and draw myself.

Mei Teng, I hope you don't miss them.

    Jidhu, thanks.

SK, actually I always dreamt and wished for a Teddy Bear when I was little. During those times, either the Teddies are too expensive, not easily available or no luck for me :(
