The Journey to Enlightenment

This is a scenic view of the Buddha statue at Chin Swee Temple, Genting Highlands. On the left is a path that leads you on a Journey to Enlightenment where the 10 chambers of Hell are depicted. It is a good journey of discovery especially for children to learn about the rewards of good karma and punishments for bad karma in the process of rebirth and reincarnation before a person reaches enlightenment.

Just look at the many many steps and stairs here. I bet it would be good exercise just walking around this place.

Lights & Reflection

This is the walkway of a hotel lobby decorated with red lanterns and glittering lights for the coming Chinese New Year festival which falls on Feb 14th. From afar, the numerous little pink lights looks like plum blossoms. This is the time you see plum blossoms display everywhere, e.g. on lighting, red packets and floral arrangements and also painted on lanterns.

Do you think the polished floor further enhances the ambience when the lights are reflected back? Can you see the beautiful lanterns reflected on the shiny stone pillars on the right?
