A Naked Tree

Today is ABC Wednesday

N is for .....

Naked tree!

What are you thinking when you see this tree?

I think it is a beautiful piece of Mother Nature's art.
A lovely silhouette against the clear blue sky.

The Erythrina fusca tree which bears beautiful bright red flowers is a deciduous tree. Sometimes, it sheds all its leaves during a dry spell. Later when there is enough water or rain, shoots will sprout again.

Erythrina fusca tree is also known as Pokok Dedap in Malay

Think Green Thursday # 14 - Trees

Erythrina fusca tree is also known as Pokok Dedap in Malay

Let's dedicate a day of the week for Earth and our Environment. Let's think green today. We can:
a) Plant a tree
b) Save a tree
c) Choose not to harm trees
d) Educate others on the importance of trees

Trees beautify our homes and compounds, provide shade from the hot afternoon sun and helps to reduce global warming. How nice if you can find a tree that bears beautiful flowers and fruits too. Lets leave behind a beautiful legacy to our children and future generations. Hence I would like to end here with this quote:

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanates from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.
