Han Chin Pet Soo Building
This Hakka tin miner's clubhouse dates back to 1929. It is located at Jalan Bijeh Timah (formerly known as Treacher Street). It was the only licensed gaming house for the rich tin mine tycoons. Ipoh was once known as 'The City of Millionaires'.
This heritage building is located just across Panglima Lane (aka Concubine Lane).
It is still beautifully maintained. Inside the building are rare and valuable antique furniture, marble flooring and mahjong tables.
Today the building is only opened to members only. Visitors wil need to get permission from the building manangement to view the interior. Another way is to join The Ipoh Heritage Walk organised by the Perak Tourism and Kinta Heritage Group. For further details, you can check this link.
