This is my favourite orchid at Floria 2009. It's scientific name is yellow oncidium orchid. We also call it the dancing lady orchid. It has multiple blooms of bright yellow flowers with a reddish brown centre. Can you see graceful ladies in yellow gowns dancing to the waltz? Aren't they magical?Put this orchid hanging from a container, a basket or in a vase, it will surely liven up your homes as well as your business!
A beautiful orchid photo indeed! I had a yellow "dancing lady" in my office but I haven't been able to get her to re-bloom!
ReplyDeleteI have four different areas in the garden with yellow dancing ladies (all in bloom at this time). We just hang them in a tree and the orchids will take off by them self.
ReplyDeleteLeif, TOG. I guess orchids are strange in the sense that when it comes to blooming, they seem to have a mind of their own. They bloom when they like or they may not, despite all the tender loving care and all the good nutrition they get. Sometimes, I resort to talking to them or moving them around my garden.
