All kinds of sports activities are good for kids physical and mental development. Many kids love the outdoors and sports. However many obstacles come in the way. Quite often, there are no basic facilities nearby. For example, there are no children's playground in the housing area, so what do the poor kids do?
1. Play badminton by the main road, in front of the house with gate as the net and using imaginary court lines.
2. Play football on empty fields near construction sites or maybe next to neighbour's houses.
3. Cycle around the neighbourhood if the area is guarded and safe and also if parents allow them to go out.
Do you let your kids go out to play in the evenings ?
What kind of outdoor sports do kids in your area like?

ReplyDeleteCan zoom nearer to the kids?
ReplyDeletea lovely take on the theme!
ReplyDeleteYes, here too I have seen children playing on roads, parks taken over by land sharks.
ReplyDeleteGreat post on the theme.
Great shot and I like that huge house ^_^. Here in the US I hardly find kids playing in their yard, it's kind of weird. But I think the video games and computers, texting makes them home bound and not physical exertion is happening. And that makes too many obese kids here. And you are right sports activities helps their physical mental development. Some kids don't know what is sportsmanship even!! GRRR!! Happy Thursday!

When I was little there were no playgrounds at all, but we had a lot of fantasy and always found playgrounds, for ball games or whatever. Of course there were very few cars at that time.
ReplyDeleteGood entry for Thursday's Challenge.
